Can anyone tell me the best place to source a warranty for my 2001 3200 Assetto Corsa

How much do they generally cost and can i get one to include wear and tear?

All opinions greatfully received!

FYI
Work just done...replacment battery...car died on Euston road and hubby had to push car and pregnant me off onto a side street...boy did we get grief! Warranty coughed up on that £250 inc labour at HR Owen...crazy

They also did the recall work at the same time...All good now

And then two days later...slow puncture on rear left meant I had to replace both...Michellin Pilot Sports - £550 - they were due to be placed in the next 1000 miles or so

From my Homework yesterday , My Main Dealer has informed me there are two warranties available for which one is the Trident Version and the Other is more Mainstream version which they have used for over ten years to cover their other cars that are non Ferrari / Maserati , however the warranty is now able to cover Maserati.

Im having a one hour check with a view to extending the warranty for another year on my 3200.

Sorry I cant remember the name of this other warranty (its something like Motorplan or similar)
Give Meridien a Call to check (Tel : 02380-283-404)
They are very Helpful there.

These warranties are not cheap !(but thats down to personal Opinion I Guess ! ) My Trident was £1,500 and I think its similar with this other warranty.

Hope this helps ?

Got one from my dealer and it was about £650-800. Don't have the exact details on me. Covers most of the nasty stuff.

Most won't cover wear 'n' tear. Tyres and servicing are just the standard running costs. clutch and brakes are expensive but like any car needs to be done. Your best biting the bullet and putting the pennies away for these.

Chris thats a good Price - Can you let us know what the Company / Policy is as that could be better value.
Thanks
Pete

Its managed by "car care plan" and it's a dealer specific policy JCT600. I have yet to put it to the ACID test of a major failure (touch wood).

I'd heard that car care plan no longer warrantied Maseratis....When did you get your policy CC?

I bought a 2002 3200 AC from a main dealer in the new forest, it was exactly 3 years old with 11k miles on it and even though they did the major service (belts etc.)they would not provide a factory warranty in fact they said that Maserati no longer provided warranties for used cars once the initial "new car" warranty had expired although they did provide a Motorplan warranty through "London General Holdings" & "AON" for which they paid £1191, the policy has a max claim limit of £4000, is called Platinum cover and should cover everything bar wear and tear and electrical connections, A phone number in the booklet is 0870 849 9811.

Hope this is of use
