I was at a classic show recently and there was a chap with Mercedes W124 saloon early 90's . Never thought of this being a classic, but definitely the last of the solid over engineered Mercs. As a reliable workhorse saloon it's got to be hard to beat......future classic for sure.

Aged very well, wiring looms can be an issue though.

Easily solved. £400 - £500 and no more than 20 minutes to fit. If it buggers up your coil packs, then add a bit more money, and barely any more time.

That’s actually good to know,I’ve looked at them on and off and may start again.

I've had an E320 and an E36 coupe. The E320 needed the wiring loom doing (main dealer purchase, DIY fix).

The bigger issue on both was rust in the front wings, because they're a mud trap.
