McLaren 750S gets new MSO options for 2025

Contrast Packs, more carbon and more orange bring extra personalisation possibilities

There’s not much scope for improving the 750S - it’s as wildly exciting and formidably capable as you might hope a lightweight mid-engined McLaren to be in 2024. The latest update doesn’t change very much at all then, instead offering customers ‘the opportunity to further enhance their 750S with the trademark craftsmanship of MSO’.

The McLaren Special Operations Contrast Packs are the important additions for the 2025 model year, with a dozen pre-configured themes launched. It offers up MSO colours that aren’t usually available, with brake calipers and a mirror cap pinstripe in either a contrast or matching colour depending on the body paint chosen. The options for the Contrast Packs are Alaskan Diamond White, Tarmac Black, Soho Grey, Dove Grey, Viola Viola, Tokyo Pearl, XP Green, Napier Green, Solar Yellow, Anniversary Orange, Volcano Orange or Volcano Red seen here.

And this being McLaren, there isn’t just one MSO Contrast Pack. In addition to one for the outside, Contrast Pack 2 brings ‘bespoke interior treatments’. So that’s lots of Alcantara, lots of Carbon Black leather, then some colour in the form of a shade that complements or contrasts with the outside (again depending on which one has been chosen). Confused? Us too. Good job the 750S looks great in just about any colour…

The rest of the new options are a bit easier to understand. Stealth badging has been added, which makes the McLaren logos black and puts ‘Speedmarks’ on the centre caps. It’s also now possible to have carbon front wings in body colour with visual carbon louvres for a Longtail-style aesthetic (where previously it was just a body-coloured option). All 750S models now get a starter button in Papaya Orange.

McLaren’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer George Biggs said: “In its first year on sale the 750S has been a huge success. The car’s stellar reception with both the media who have driven it and with customers has exceeded all expectations, and the Model Year enhancements for 750S with new options from McLaren Special Operations ensure it remains a benchmark defining supercar with exclusivity and remarkable craftsmanship.”

McLaren’s (very good) configurator has been updated with the badges and visual carbon now, if you need a lunch break activity. Or for those that can make do with a red starter button and fewer MSO goodies, the classifieds are on hand

Someone who lives in my building has a lava orange (I think) spider version of this; it looks absolutely fantastic.

The featured colour combo (rich red, silver wheels, red interior) is extremely classy and desirable to my eyes. It looks superb, and - never thought I would say this - elegant.

They should ban black wheels and the nasty highlighter colours… the dark green press 750S with silver wheels that was on Harry’s Garage looked so much better than half of the ones ordered.

Stunning car. would love to upgrade the 12C to one from a driving perspective. But for me, I have never been able to get along with the headlight styling. It looks better in the flesh that in picture, but I just don't like the socket design.
So for me, I'll stick with the 12C, which is handy as I can't afford a 750S :-))

I fancy a McLaren at some point.
But maybe not one that reminds me of Space 1999

Which these do…..
