Its about this time of year when I notice the very dire lighting of my headlights?

This year I decided to investigate improvements ( cheap improvements ). I saw Osram Silverstar on Eliseparts - alegedly 50% brighter... anyone got em? Any improvment?

Anyone got any other bright () ideas..

Not sure what model you are driving but the bulbs in my 111r are 55 watt H1 & H7 [headlamps] and 55W H3 [driving lamps] and i think they are very good. Presumably you could pick up the equivalent at your local Lotus dealer. Having found the lights on the previous S2 Sports Tourer to be v. poor I tried using bulbs that have been variously described as being so powerful as to be illegal ETC and finding them crap i would beware of astounding claims re brilliance etc.

I would first get a local bodyshop or MOT place to check the alignment of the headlights...most come out of the factory poorly aligned.

Other than that I wouldnt waste your money on '50% brighter' bulbs - I spent £80 on upgraded bulbs...then gave up and bought some real HID xenons for £200 ...its like driving in daylight...dont waste your money on bulbs

www.elise-shop.com for the HID kit for the Elise - easy to fit and well worth the dosh.
