How safe is BestInvest?

I've been diligently investing through BestInvest in funds, shares and trackers for a number of years, and as retirement age approaches I now have enough to, I think, fund a reasonable retirement, which is very pleasing! There's a big chunk of cash in there too currently, as I feel it's a good time to not have everything invested.

But it does beg a rather important question. If BestInvest were to go bust, would they take my life's investments and hopes for retirement down with them?

Your funds etc. will be okay because BestInvest is just the platform.
