Hi guys.

My bike is over 40, it's got historical class for tax, but on the govt checker it comes up as MOT expired even though it doesn't need one. Is there something else I should have done?

No, that is how it is. Providing you have applied for " Historic Status" you V5 states it and the last mot was not a fail, you should be fine

Buggered if I would ride it, or drive a car that has not had a safety inspection though, not that it means a lot, but other eyes can pick up on things you miss, for 40 quid, worth it.

Also makes things easier to sell when that time comes.

Mine doesn't need an MoT, but there's no way I'd not want that yearly look over. It's a small price to pay.
