In the news in Brief section of this months 911 and Porsche World mag, it said that there has been a turbo version of the Cayman spotted testing at the Ring !!!

anyone heard, or know anymore about this ??

Surely this is gonna step right on the toes of the forthcoming 997 GT3 ??

I'm waiting for the RS lightweight version... rumour has it that that could be made, too.

Imagine that with a 425bhp tuned GT3 lump dropped into it.

Porsche has always had a policy of not making the Boxster more powerful than the base 911 and the same thing will happen with the Cayman.

Commercial suicide to produce a turbo Cayman as it would kill sales of the base 911 (which costs 10% more to make and sells for a 40% premium)

I expect a Cayan 2.7 with 250bhp and and a Cayman CS (RS kept for 911) with 305bhp, less weight and sportier suspension

A soft top Cayman, that could be a big seller

It's a real shame Porsche never bought out a TT Boxster though That would be very special

That won't stop me getting hold of a Cayman CS, putting some lexan in place of the glass, dropping a 425bhp GT3-R engine in the back and sticking an RS badge on the rump. And then spraying it Mint Green

They've got to make the Cayman CS first. Then it has to depreciate to lizard levels. Then I have to book it into Andy for after the Baron, BMW and Ultima. So 2050 is more likely
