NS&I Income Bonds Money Transfer

Has anyone had experience of using a pretty large lump sum in a normal bank to purchase Income Bonds from NS&I ?

If so how did you do the transfer ?

You can do it online up to £100k (if your bank supports this), over £100k and it’s a application form & Cheque (NS&I Constraint)
