Dartford charge and number plate transfer

I have transferred my cherished number plate from my old car (which I still have) to my new car. DVLA correctly shows the cherished plate on the new car and a replacement plate number for the old car.

However, Dartford charge shows the number plate as belonging to the old car. How can I rectify this please? BTW the "new" number provided by DVLA is also not recognised by Dartford Charge (DVLA recognises it.

What time gap had elapsed between the plate switchover and the Dartford charge being applied ?

just add the new number plate to your DART account

Do the DART charge cameras not just pick up the plate and charge to it, ignoring the vehicle (unless disputed by the owner of a vehicle that has been cloned / had another person's plate misread as theirs, which would be a manual review)?

When I try to add the plate, it shows the old car instead of the new

About 4 days - DVLA picks up the changes. I may need to cross Dartford in the next few days

Will you be using the old car to travel over the bridge? If not, I don't think there's an issue if it just charges against the plate, surely.

Not crossed the bridge / tunnel yet. Just trying to add these two revised plates to my Dartford account

That was my question - the account addition does not recognise the changes!!

I've just done a change on the Dart site.

It ties a number to a description so I would delete your private plate car.

Then add the same private plate back on, which then asks for the make, model and colour of the newly plated car.

Will try it and add the car details manually as you suggest. Hopefully it should be fine.
