DOOR NOT WORKING! HELP PLEASE?!?!?!?!

Hello,

The latest 'niggle' to occur to my wheels of plastic is the fact that the passenger door will not open from the outside, any help any one please?

I understand that this has probably been posted a million and one times, but when you don't have the problem, you don't look into it in that much depth do you?

I have a feeling that they commonly die after a while after exposure to the elements.

TVR electrics are also famous for dying when the car gets wet. This often killed my window motor. The passenger door open was a different colour on mine so I assumed that it was repaired at some time, so I guess its not an isolated problem.

Interestingly all of the lectrical gremlins with doors and windows not closing etc were solved by 'waggling' ie press all related buttons and open and close doors.

Thats what I would try first in case one of the electrical systems is 'stuck' in the wrong bit of its cycle before I took a trip to the dealer!

Hi Dan,
could be the door needs adjusting. You need a special little tool to get in there where the strike plate is, so unless you know someone near with one best bet is to go chat up your nearest dealer, they should be happy to help you with the launch of the new car they should be in a good mood.
