Not sure if I can face watching it at the cinema but will definitely get a digital copy in November

The most depressing animated film ever made and scarred a whole generation of kids - I’ll give it a miss!

My wife was going through some old DVD's at her parents house a good while and said she'd found a film for our young boys to watch with rabbits. When she got home and handed me Watership Down, I quickly hid it from the boys and let her know how much it traumatised me watching it as a kid!!! Either she hasn't watched it before or she'd wiped all existence of it from her memory smile

It's beautifully animated but not sure I could handle the amount of dust likely to be in the cinema...

Oh hell no, I also still carry the scars 40 years later. Can't listen to 'Bright Eyes' now.

I've just read that after 4 decades of complaints, the BBFC reclassified it a PG film (from a U) in 2022.

I seem to remember the animation being frighteningly realistic (to a child anyway) and getting thoroughly spooked by the storyline...think I'll give it a miss!

'Bright Eyes....burning like fire....etc'

50 and completely scarred by it. My mum bought it on DVD to show to my kids, and I strategically moved it from the house before she had a chance to show them

The other one of course was the umbilical cord scene in Threads - which they made us all watch at school when we were 10

How can a light that burned so brightly suddenly burn so pale?

I cannot watch this film or hear that song without welling up.
