CRASH HELMETS & CREAM

I have read the spec regarding the crash helmets, but does anyone know if the crash helmet has to be a full face type or not.....Thanks

I don't know specifics for CREAM, but AFAIK closed face is mandatory only in cabrio's/single seaters on most circuits.

Instructors often use the open face (touring car with microphone) style lids (it means you can hear what they are saying to you). Would have thought so long as it is to the required standard both should be ok.

The helmets they gave out at brands trackday were open faced ones, so I'm sure they must be ok.

I bought one today,full face,and it matches the car, black metallic, and cost just under £50.

Somebody's offered to lend me a bike helmet, it has all the right numbers apart from the sticker, which is gold.

Does this comply ?

If not can I presume there's a helmet specifically for cars.

The gold sticker is for ACU (Auto Cycle Union) approval, so it's fine. My Arai, which is sat on the desk in front of me, has the same sticker.
