Blind spot radar unit repair?

For the 4th time, one of the blind spot radars on my Merc CLS has failed. As it’s no longer warrantied I don’t really want to shell out £600ish for a new one which will undoubtedly break again!

Anyone know of a company or individual who could repair a unit? Google has failed me so I’m hoping the PH collective might know…

Alternatively, can an option be coded out?
