The Chelsea Detective - a watchable series on U - as it's now called.

A slightly quirky - as they have to be - detective series. He has split from his wife, lives on a boat at Chelsea Harbour, argues with his wife about selling their old flat, goes around on a bike, is up to date with tech, takes lots of photos on his phone, some of the supporting scenes and dialogue are very clunky.

Er, that's it.

Watched about 5 episodes on catch up, I expect I will watch more.

I have watched the full series and I would describe it as a rainy Sunday afternoon program. Not bad but not great either. Give it 6.5 out of 10

It is entertaining enough, much like all the other upbeat murder shows, plus it is good to see Adrian Scarborough in a serious role, I've only ever seen him in comedy dramas before.

Watched both series now (Series 2 is currently only available on AcornTV or BBC Player NOT iPlayer).

Series 2 I would say is worse than the first one, the stories took too long to get into and then were seemingly played out for ages. I could see half the plot twists coming a mile off.

As someone has said on another thread (about a similar show Ludwig) it is wallpaper TV, easy enough to watch but not special.

We've just started to watch it. Each two-part episode is boringly formulaic, I doubt we'll get any further than the second.
