Picked one of these up on a cheap lease for a pool car at work.

Have to say, I'm pretty impressed! Great entry level spec (SE Technology) and a 2.0 TDI automatic which seem to be getting rare.

For £280/month (12k miles a year including servicing and tyres) I can't argue!

I'm a bit biased as I sell them, but they're rather impressive. I've only driven the 1.5TSI DSG in SEL spec and apart from needing a little more oomph, it's a lovely place to be, I think the Smart Dials are a nice feature.

I was chatting with an engineer tester on Friday who has one, the rear legroom was incredible! He said that it is very free wheeling, which I'm presuming is to help with fuel economy.

I sell Audis, and when asked by friends/family what to buy (at sensible cost) I tend to say Skoda. Lady who runs our tyre fitter wanted a "large estate"; she's also just picked up a Superb (SEL again) and highly rates it.

They're a very pleasant place to be, not expensive, not pretentious, and get on with their business without fuss.

Having been in a late-ish Superb taxi a few months ago, I wish we had got one last year instead of a Kodiaq - for only the two or three occasions the third row of seats has been used so far. Look forward to updates!

I recently changed my 5 year old VW caddy maxi life for a suzuki swace (leased) and once it arrived absolutely hated it so quickly started looking for a replacement.

Needed Something biger than the swace but not as big as the caddy so decided on a Superb, managed to find a 2015 2.0 TDI SE Estate and a deal was done.

Just driving home it was so comfortable compared to the suzuki and a much nicer place to be without all the recent tech like lane 'assistance' and speed limit recognition that absolutely ruined the experience with the suzuki.

I'm also impressed based on my limited experience so far!

I did 100k in a 2016 Superb and loved it. Tried to get my boss to pick up a 2024 ex-demo model as some dealers were shifting them with £15k off the list price.

Utterly brilliant things

Hi there, sorry for slight thread hi-jack but I've got a question on "smart dials" which you might be able to help me with. I've got a 72-reg MKIII Superb, with what I imagine are what you call "smart dials". Whenever Android auto connects and my satnav starts on the infotainment screen, the dials behind the steering wheel change from my preferred speedo display to the rudimentary satnav display with arrows. I don't want it ever to do this as I then have to press buttons to get the speedo display back. Do you know of a setting where I can set the display to never change unless I ask it to please? My car is a 1.5TSI DSG SE (no L), so isn't equipped with built in satnav or compass, hence always using Android Auto for nav.

Overall very impressed with the engine and drivetrain, not surprised to see it carried over to the 2024 model. Onboard computer was showing me 60mpg average on a recent run from Bristol to Reading, which impressed me. I don't find the car needs any more power, there's plenty of shove for entering motorways from a slip road for instance thanks to the torque, then cruising just under 70 it's a very relaxing place to be.

I'm really sorry but I've only been with Skoda since the MK4 Superb came out so haven't any real experience with the MK3 like yours.

The Smart Dials are a new feature for the MK4 and relate to controls for the HVAC and volume.

I'm sure the folks at Briskoda will help you out with that, it's an excellent forum for all things Skoda.
Just to add to the Superb love, I bought a low mileage 67 reg 220tsi estate in June as a family car and it's been excellent. It's a bit thirstier than my previous Leon but a brilliantly comfortable all rounder.

Thanks, I have posted it on Briskoda a couple of months ago, and no reply. So it's probably just a "feature".

It's time to replace my company car and I've just specced my Superb estate. Hopefully the boss is in a good mood and signs it off.
It's that or a Kia Sportage which is more expensive and less roomy. Unfortunately being a company car it has to be PHEV and I think the lack of power will bug me coming from a 2.0tdi but we'll see.

Black metallic with the cognac interior is my choice.

I’ve had a 66plate 2017 2.0TDI SE Technology with 110k from new. I specified it as a company car and bought it from Skoda when the lease ran out. It sound like it need new rear bearings but other than that is faultless. I wanted another but the company stopped leasing and gave me an allowance.

I've had my Superb estate for a little over a week now. Absolutely love it, it's a bit of a nanny with all the braking systems but they're easily switched off.
It's a very comfortable car that feels far more expensive than it is.
