I need to get back into something sexy with two doors and the roof comes off (oh and goes like shit of the old shovel!)

My Choices are

a. MGF
b. MX5
c. 206 CC
d. Alfa Spider
e. BMW 1.8 Z3

My only concern is that the above might have a bit too much power for today's roads. What do you all think?

for the £15K mark I would discount all of the above with the exception of the Alfa Spider - look for the 3 litre v6 which are now on sale privately for around that money...

I think troll is a bit harsh, I just have too much time on my hands at work. I have spent most of this week trying to decide the spec on my 'to be ordered this weekend' T350.

Thank you to those who are not rude 's

I used to have a 1.9 16valve Z3 with engine mods and loads of body kit. I got Chimaera 400 and never looked back. Seriously you wont be satisfied with the amount of power and even when i put a Hamann Sports Exhaust on. It didn't sound half as good as Chimaera's standard exhaust. If you had a Chimaera before. Get one again! Its better than anything on that list. Or a you could get a Griff, Tuscan? I will send you a photo of the z3 its hilarious!

This is odd. You've already had a Chimaeara, you say you're going to order a T350 - which must be £40K+ - then you say you're thinking of having a MGF/MX5/206 CC/Alfa Spider/BMW 1.8 Z3...

You gotta admit, there's some funny logic going on here, which is why the ever-alert PHers have flagged it up.

Oh my God, I thought it was obvious that I was just leg pulling; come on, an MGF with too much power for the road. I was just bored as stated in my previous message straight after the initial one.

I’ll get my coat!

It's good to be different. I would imagine they will be quite sort after in years to come and should last for years as I think they use a BMW V8 (?) Please correct me.

Have you a long wait? I know in the past you had to wait a good few years.

Paul r - well I was working my way to the logical conclusion you were either mad or having a 'larf' - a few more hours and I might have got there.

Well the Aero 8 that overtook me on the Le Mans track day looked very nice a kind of retro/modern aproach it was metalic green. The race car did well in the race too, before it went out with some sort of problem. Very impressed i was
