Hi guys

Where are you all going during the half term holidays this year?

I went to lanzerote a few years back and the weather was nice but just checked the same hotel;

Sentido Aequora Lanzarote Suites

And it’s £3.5k for a week half board for me the misses and our daughter. Holidays are getting out of hand these days!

Any ideas for somewhere hot that won’t break the budget?!

We're going to Dubai.

The other options on the shortlist were Agadir, Hurghada and maybe Malta.

We are going to Turkey for the last week of Half Term, Wife and I with our 6 and 3 year old. Staying at the Hilton Dallaman, 40 mins transfer from the airport, All inclusive, Sea view etc etc. Cost us £3300.

Who did you book that through if you don’t mind sharing?

I expect he'd rather just be with his wife and kids rather than having you rocking up as well. Might be wrong though...

haha!, It's a big place, the place could be full and it still feels like its empty its that big, We have learnt this year and we are taking the kids scooters with us for them to get around on. Its really highly rated, lots of people go back year on year

Just did a quote through jet 2 and it came up 3.6k for me, everything nice is quite steep! Every average hotel is a rip off imo. Can’t seem to win with a tidy holiday anymore lol

I’d be slightly concerned about the warmth / weather that late in Turkey.

I see lots of folk on various Facebook groups asking about heated pools for that time of year. And not all hotels have them.

Yea we were concerned about that especially for the kids, thankfully this place has 2 heated outdoor pools, (including the slide pool) so at least the kids will be happy!,

The weather round the Benidorm area can be very pleasant at that time of year in my experience.

Get away from the mad area and it is different from what you may imagine.

My wife is a teacher so we are also constrained by school holidays and prices in the October and February half terms are sky high.

We’ve reduced costs for holidays in the February by booking an Air bnb and flights at least 9 months in advance.

I'm taking the children to Iceland. Renting a motorhome and focusing on the south and west mainly as it is a short-ish trip.

Sorry only just seen this again

We have stayed out along the playa de Pontiente on the other side of the Old Town, almost in Finestrat.
