My current landlady has decided that she needs me to move out due to her miscalculation of how much she will recieve on incapacity benefit with me living here renting a room off her (classed as income apparently)

So once again I now have to move house within the local area, once again I have to uproot everything, trasnsfer insurance, address, broadband connection etc, once again I have to shift everything and pack everything and I have only lived here a month :furious:

I cant afford to buy a house, the last 2 full house lets I have had have totally cost me the earth living alone and both landpersons have decided to sell within 6 months each (cheers housing boom - thanks a f:censored:king lot....) So here we go again!

I am looking around on www.easyroommate.com and others - I guess I should be looking at newsagents as well.

Truely utterly peed off gh0st :(

Can't you you just buy a caravan, park it up where it takes your fancy; bobs your dads brother. No one will bother you .

Are you relatively near your parents house? Just say you have moved out and pay cash till you find somewhere... Think of it as moving out logically as opposed to physically

Short term all you need is a mailing address that's plausible, doesn't matter where you actually live

Man, thats bad. Am currently going through a forced move myself, and have just helped my girlfriend move, and it is an utter bitch.

And in a couple of months time I will have to move again, and hope it's to somewhere I can settle for a while.

So, gh0st, I have a good idea of how you feel. You have my sympathy. Hope you find somewhere that works out for you.

You should be so luck. I’ve been trying to move for months but still haven’t sold the house.

Can’t even do the dating thing properly atm – “don’t worry about the ex or her 3 kids love.”

I dont mean to be rude (but Im going to be anyway )

Perhaps there is a communication problem. If the one single reason you're moving out is because you're not supposed to be living there, then dont live there on paper. Find another place to live, or dont live anwhere at all (on paper). And stay, paying her cash. Why cant you do that Ghost?

Why not offer to pay her less so that she gets her full incapactiy benefit or why pay her at all? I'm sure you could work it out so that you "paid" her in a different ways, i.e. buy the groceries, pay the gas bill etc.

My mate and his buddy rented rooms in a house in Kingston about 20 years ago. The landlady was an old biddy, but it didn't stop mateyboy from "being nice" to the old girl. After the old lady died, mateyboy was left the house in the Will. True story, honest!!
