Good AI kids resorts

Any recommendations for good AI resorts in Europe? Summer hols.
5 and 7 year old kids, wife a vegan. Likely travelling with extended family so we find AI / restaurants easier to deal with than negotiating dinner - one wants tofu, the other meat and potato’s, the kids ketchup etc.
I saw a recommendation for Seaclub Alcudia on here in 2022 - it was great but the self catering was not the best idea- restaurants seem a lot of money but trying to make dinner for one meat eater, two children and a vegan on 2 hobs results in something really dull.
This year we went to Candia Park Village in Crete, a bit more expensive, half board, beach / water sports. Really good for the kids, always sunny.
So where to next year? Budget is probably £4k-£6k with half board at the higher end for 2 weeks in August. Don’t think kids are old enough / budget too small for Nielsen type holidays.
Don’t really like large hotels, the two we have liked are about 250 rooms, so enough to have ok facilities but not giant. Food needs to be decent (as much as the price allows anyway) to give the vegetarians something other than chips. I like peace and quiet and water sports but the reality with kids means not much of that.
Turkey comes up a lot, is it any good / better value? I guess other options are Spain, Majorca, Mencora, Greece.
Unsure if we want to be in the middle of a town like Alcudia or stuck on a resort barring a taxi / car hire.
I’d like a quiet villa but it just doesn’t work with the kids very well.
