Last Minute Honeymoon/Minimoon
Discussion
Hi All,
Recently married and we didn't book a honeymoon as my Mother-in-law is unwell and I've just been made redundant. No pressure has been put on to book but the family are encouraging us to go. I'd prefer to delay, but have now been asked to book something for the two weeks 5th - 19th October 2024 with the idea of a possible early return if required. I did suggest waiting but my wife has holiday to use up and to be honest we both could do with the break away for various reasons, but maybe not label it a honeymoon as I don't think her mind will truly be relaxed.
We normally holiday in Fuerteventura around this time and this seems like the obvious choice. Quick flight back and not as expensive as the likes of the Maldives.
Any thoughts on other destinations? I feel like going to our usual destination takes away the specialness of been recently married but perhaps just be grateful to be going away and focus on warm weather, beaches and just relaxing and it takes away the pressure as we know the area and places we like.
Thanks in advance.
