OP is shy about giving an opinion.

Interesting premise... Will watch that when it's out for rental.

Clint Eastwood is 94. Id be amazed if he knows his own name let alone direct a movie

What a stupid, childish and pathetic post.

I'd say his body of work as senior citizen suggests you're talking out of your arse.

I concur. I suspect the OP is a teenager. I used to make comments like that when I was one.

Might be best to see the film first before flapping your gums, it could be garbage, like The Mule was garbage.

Saw it today, enjoyed it. Love a Clint Eastwood movie, whether directing or acting.

Nice to see Nicolas Hoult towering over Toni Collette, unlike when they last worked together on About a Boy biggrin

Interesting take on 12 Angry Men. Want to discuss it but it looks like only I have seen it smile

Glad to report I liked it, but it falls into line with most court based movies that it dispenses with the hours of boring st that predominate in a real trial and concentrates on the beloved movie tropes all the way back to Anatomy of a Murder [ good film ] : the lawyers grandstanding each other, the judge getting irked, new evidence, surprise witnesses, still it kept me guessing to the end, and Toni Collette is worth watching just reciting her shopping list.

I thought it was highly unlikely a judge would allow juror 2 to stay on the jury, risking an appeal or a even mistrial, he would be lucky to have walked without a contempt charge

Saw this at the cinema and thought it was quite good. Certainly better than 'The Mule' which was a big disappointment. I almost didn't go to see this because of how bad The Mule was.

Obvious comparisons with 12 Angry Men here but with an interesting twist.

Well me and Mrs 'gig saw this last week and we thought it was garbage. The court case could never run like this - nothing to place the perp at the scene, apart from an 'eye witness' 300 yds away behind trees on a rainy night. Defence doesn't even question the witness. How come the judge doesn't mention this in the summing up? And how come 11/12 jurors are all for guilty, like they didn't even see the trial.
I was shouting at the TV most of the way through.

Nicholas Hoult has done some great stuff, but I have no idea what anyone was thinking taking a role in this. If you can find a copy of Newness, Hoult and Laia Costa, now there's a movie.
