Do you think London TVR showrooms will sell more TVR's?

Just wandering, hearing a lot about London showroom etc etc... Will these actually make a difference to the number of TVRs sold?

I don't think they will win much business - most people prepared to spend 20 - 40K on a sportscar will always go German. you can't garage a car easily in London and you can't be warming it up at 6.30 every morning for 5 - 10 mins before setting off....also German cars don't let in water or attract too much unwanted attention because there are soo many.

That leaves a very small minority of occaisional users with access to garaged parking....

Plenty of people work in London. I bought my first TVR when I worked in London. I think the market is certainly large enough to support a dealer in the capital.

Well common sence would suggest more dealers = more car sales.

Im still fairly certain that I have been told that there is going to be a couple of boutique style dealers in strategic locations and that can't do sales any harm.

I heard that same rumour. I think that was going to be a TVR London thing (as opposed to London TVR - how confusing?! ). Not sure if it's still happening.

Who does that then? I've always been told by people with far more technical expertise than me that it's a bad idea to leave the engine idling from cold. I always drive straight off in mine using gentle revs until the correct oil temp is achieved.

As the average speed in London is about 4mph I doubt that there's much danger of going too fast on a cold engine anyway.

I had a Chim in London for 3 yrs parked on the road, I never saw a car decay so quickly....another issue is battery charge which has to be maintained when you go on holiday with all Tivs as far as I know....

The S is a different car than the new gen.

People who want to buy a TVR in London will come over . . .

"I've bought mine in London . . .", etc.
