Boston to NYC - Roadtrip route suggestions
Discussion
I'm spending 3 days in Boston, MA from Boxing day and then driving down to NYC for the new year. My gut is telling me to drive south down through New Haven and stop off a couple of times for a bite to eat and some sights. I have a whole day to do the trip so would love to hear of alternative routes or places to stop along the way
Lots of potential here depending on how long you have.
South to Plymouth, Sandwich, Cape Cod. There is a lot of history and beautiful places to see there, and you can tour Martha's Vineyard while you're there.
West along the coast to New Haven, where Yale University is, then south on the ferry across the Sound to Long Island, go southeast to Montauk, and then west through the rest of the Hamptons (I can give plenty of recommendations for eating around here), then north to NYC.
