If you want proper cider, campbell, take in a trip to Bristol. Interesting city. Stay at the Henbury Lodge Hotel - which is not too pricey (for Bristol) and is out of the centre. My cars have always been safe in its car park too. They have a little area out of sight of the road if you get there early enough.
The down side is that its taxis into town and back again.
Back to the cider - I believe the best cider pub in the city is "The Coronation Tap" which is Clifton way. Some of the Bristol regulars could help you out with local knowledge.
Near Brisle is the Avon Gorge - very scenic and if your car is loud...the echo is just amazing!
If you want Naval stuff mungo is right...Portsmouth is yer place for that. Don't go down there on the motorway though...instead go cross country. If you go through my hometown (Basingstoke) you can do the A339 to Alton and then take a B-route through Selborne - I took the Pie and Drive Basingstoke PHers that way to Pie On The Beach. Nice route.
See you at BTaP. Let me know if you need any recommendations around our way...

Bath is well worth a look if you want to do touristy stuff, not too busy at this time of the year either. I grew up there so I'm biased.
Stonehenge is also interesting if you like that kind of thing, but it doesn't stay interesting for long so don't go out of your way to see it!
My tip with cider is have someone to look after you if you drink more than two pints of that green stuff with so much sediment in that it blocks the light. It can do funny things to you.

At the Pompey dockyards you can see HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and a load of old knarled wet wood they have to keep constantly damp lest the bugger dry out that I remember them dragging up from the seabed some twenty years ago christ knows why
The New Forest is nice and then further down to The Eden Project ...

coronation tap is at the end of portland way IIRC in clifton village. the exhibition is the stuff to try, only sold in halves and you will find out why believe me, we foolishly used the corrie tap as a stop on a pub crawl for the Uni motor club....hahahahha there was a few people more than worse off the next morning!

Someone mention Plymouth, National Aquarium is there, near the Hoe. Very good day out. Don't bother with Mayflower experience though.
The sub bit in Gosport has been recommended to me by an ex sub mariner, though I have yet to make it there.

Probably after Cheddar Gorge if you want the full on exhaust reverb experience. Avon Gorge is a bit too open for the full effect (except under the avalanche barrier).
Oooops. That's the one I meant. Cheddar Gorge. The Avon Gorge is scenic too and right in the city but I wouldn't bother driving through it.
She has shoulder length brown hair, those specs that Italians wear, a Katherine Hamnett top cut really short (I can see her piercings and tatoo) and ripped designer jeans. She has long brown boots too.
She seems more interested in me flicking through most of the top posts that her hotmail, perhaps we should swap.
Want me to slap her for you, mate?
