Quaife R40 Track Car - Request for Info

Good afternoon chaps and chapesses.

I am right at the start of a new project, a project that will be my Sistine Chapel and one that I haven't quite decided if I will track with a project thread or videos just yet.

I have been planning something for a long time but got a kick to make physical progress when some parts appeared on eBay, parts that I couldn't resist. They were for sale separately but I offered to purchase as a job lot and pick them up the following day, getting them all for an excellent price as a result.

The haul consisted of the following:

5x front uprights with drive hubs (yes, capable of 4x4)
4x rear uprights with drive hubs
8x discs
30x Aurora rose joints
4x AP CP-5100 callipers
2x Wilwood handbrake calipers
8x wishbones (full car set)
2x driveshafts with CV joints
lots of high misalignment top hats and as a bonus (came free) four set up shocks that has no shim stacks.

After some investigation, everything is Quaife. It would appear that these items are from the stillborn Quaife R40 track day car, I spoke at length with Quaife to ensure that they left through the right channels and I wasn't going to get into trouble buying them, fortunately they are legitimate and the deal was good.

So my request; does anyone have any more details on the R40? Was anyone on here involved in the project? I would love some chassis photos if they exist anywhere?





I am putting everything into OnShape at the moment, so I can start modelling things, sizing up the chassis etc
