Hi all,
Rear ‘road springs’ appear to have failed/snapped on my Turbo S. 7 years old and 26k miles.
Full service history and OPC warranty.
Any ideas if this is common? Unusual? Bizarre?
Seems unusual to me. No obvious potholes etc.
What chances do I have for a warranty claim?
Tracking checked and new tyres two years ago.
TIA

Springs aren't a consumable, so I would expect it to be replaced under warranty

I had a rear spring snap on one side. Both were replaced under warranty. Hopefully it won't be a problem.

Thanks both - there appears to be some doubt due to corrosion? Not sure there would be an expectation of corrosion after this period?
I think I am going to get push back on this.....

How would corrosion be a get-out unless specifically called out in the warranty terms?

Unbelievable. Make substandard springs that corrode on crappy salty UK roads and knock back warranty claim. Class.
