Cambridge Junction - how bad is the parking?
Discussion
Off to the Cambridge Junction tomorrow night, just been checking on parking and there is multi-story opposite, great right? Well pretty much all the reviews say how narrow the ramps, we have a Tesla Model Y which is quite wide, anyone used this car park and can report back?
Any locals suggest another nearby location? I see the Cambridge train station car park is about 10 mins away so may be the best option, if a little more pricey.

It’ll be fine if you’re a sensibly competent driver.
If you’re a nervous driver you could find a local street to park on tbh if after 6pm.
Doesn't everyone think they're a good\competent drive? If you’re a nervous driver you could find a local street to park on tbh if after 6pm.

The Tesla has quite a poor turning which doesn't help in tight spots and we have only had it for a few months so still getting used to it's dimensions, will see how brave I'm feeling I guess.
You should be fine - I've managed to get a 5 series BMW (long) and FF Range Rover (long, wide and tall!) in there - it is tight though - ramps are narrow and the space from end of the ramp to the car parked opposite is shortish.
The challenge may be getting out in anything approaching a sensible time if the venue is busy as pretty much everyone parks there. My partner went recently for a gig and she left a song or two early to avoid the mayhem - this is unheard of for her.
If you arrive early you can see if you can find some of the street parking in the industrial area - but be very cautious about parking in any of the unit car parks - a lot/most are monitored and they know when they're likely to be busy.
Edit - clearly wilksy has a different experience with parking in the commercial units! I have definitely seen 3 or 4 parking enforcement vans hitting the place at one go - usually timed to be mid-way through an event.

Hi Martyn, I'm there also tomorrow (Lovely Eggs) parking is really easy, there is a multi-storey opposite the venue, but we usually park in one of the industrial estates just off Clifton Road, been doing that for well over 10 years now never ever had a problem.
Thanks, we're seeing John Finnemore so probably different start\finish times, did think about the nearby industrial estate but not sure about parking rules, seems to be a lot of double yellow lines from what I can see on Google Maps.sleepezy said:

Thanks, may give it a go then, I know that if I do scrape it I will be mentally beating myself up about it for the rest of the week The challenge may be getting out in anything approaching a sensible time if the venue is busy as pretty much everyone parks there. If you're particularly worried it's always worth trying the pay and display by the premier inn there - literally right by it - not big and normally full though
Looks like plenty of street parking in the nearby industrial estate, looks to be free after 6pm too (Street View to the rescue) so have options.I think I just like obsessing over stuff and making problems for myself where there aren't actually any!
So just to satisfy the doubters here's a picture of my Jimny parked in the Brewer's car park from just after 6pm to around 10:30pm last night, no ticket no nothing pretty much the exact spot I park up in for any event at the Junction.
There was a white Tesla parked in the next over bay when I arrived but gone when I came back.
