Just been the biggest numpty in the world, and in checking over fluids before setting off to CREAM tomorrow morning I LEFT THE COOLANT CAP OFF!
...and then went for a run. Cue coolant cap somewhere on route, clouds of steam and a hot Cerby.
Does anyone in the Guildford area have one that they can lend me, sell me or tell me where I could get one tonight?
Edited to say that I assume it's a Ford jobby, so does anyone know the part number too?

my car is at racing green with a clutch problem Silver 4.2 T24 TVR - if you call them now and if anyone is there i am happy for you to borrow the top off mine for the weekend . If it's the blueish type cap, I think you'll find it's a standard VAG item. I got a replacement out a VW dealer some time back with no problems. I think they're common throughout the VW/Audi range...
Shouldn't be too hard to get a VAG owner to lift their bonnet for you to check

plus if your profile is up to date maybe you could lift it from your Audi ( but if you do still need one of a cerb ask someone at Racing Geen to leave mine tucked away somewhere you could find it later then drop it back on Monday. Also they are normally open on Sat mornings to 12.30. Good luck whatever you sort out AJ
