Good driving roads in Hampshire 2024 - Suggestions?
Discussion
I've searched this on here, but a lot of the posts are a few years old now and I'm aware that some spots like the A272 are now subject to average speed cameras (no real issue for me, but just highlighting that things change!). Websites tend to give the same ones over and over again, and I'm willing to bet other locals know some much nicer and quieter routes.
Despite living here pretty much all my life, I've very limited knowledge of good Hants driving roads, so wondered if anyone had some suggestions? I'm in Southampton, so the New Forest is always a picturesque, if not particularly exciting option.

This is a little gem I found with the help of the local Caterham owners club:

Your second link produces the same route as the first one for some strange reason.

Anyway, north west of Winchester the A3057 Andover to Romsey is fun, as is the B3420 from Andover to the A30 just north of Winchester, B3051 Kingsclere to Micheldever.
The B3046 from Alresford to Basingstoke through the Candovers has some great stretches of road. There are plenty of opportunities along it to turn off onto a great network of back roads between the B3046 and Alton, you can also get onto it from the A339 between Alton & Basingstoke which makes a good road to complete a triangular circuit.

Cheers! I'm not often that north, but sure I can make some excuses if the driving is good
The B3049 from Winchester to Stockbridge , then on to the A30 towards Sutton Scotney is OK and you can join the A272 here,
I've found the roads North of Stockbridge can be good.
Obviously the roads around Wiltshire / Hampshire are rammers, but choose your time of day, they can be rewarding.

Also the roads over the Wallops from Stockbridge towards Thruxton can be good.

If you’re in the Meon Valley check out the minor road leaving the B3035 about one mile west of Corhampton heading north west, passing through Morestead, towards junction 10 of the M3. Good in both directions.
Can confirm it's a cracker of a road. Lots of chicanes both blind & well sighted, as well as gradient changes.Gassing Station | Roads | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
