Are the BA Club Suites available on all flights to New York these days or do you have to plan carefully to get the right plane?

I’m looking for flights in September next year.

All flights from LHR to New York are meant to be the suites. However the same is meant to be true with Seattle, but they weren't on Saturday when I returned!

That’s helpful, thanks!

It doesn’t matter if it’s to JFK or Newark?

Any suggestions for hotels in New York for September?
We’ve stayed at the Sheraton Times Square and Hudson (Morgan hotel) but this was some time ago.

We won’t be spending much time in the hotel, so don’t need anything too flashy, but want a decent location - a nice 4* is probably ideal.
Looking at c. $500 per night or thereabouts.

We stayed at The Muse last year. About 2 minute walk from Time Square, a fairly nice hotel and not too expensive - I'd stay there again.

I’m sure this probably doesn’t need saying but try pricing up your trip as a package holiday via BA holidays or Expedia as well as separate elements, you may find it’s quite a bit cheaper for exactly the same thing.

Yes, thanks.
We are probably going to be using Avios points with an Amex 2-for-1 voucher for the flights, so think that has to be booked separately from the hotel, unfortunately.

Looks like you can use the Avios for a package, but I don’t know about the 2 for 1, I guess probably not unfortunately!

I think we’ve failed when we tried to do that previously!

We stayed at Hotel Edison on W47th. Just around the corner from Times Sq. Very nice hotel, rooms had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfy. Dunno about prices as it was a 2 destination package of flights and hotels (Iceland and NY)

I always stay at the Conrad (Downtown) - its just opposite Brookfield Plaza which is connected to Oculus via a very pleasant 2min stroll through the tunnel under the road / reflecting pools

All the rooms are suites too which are very pleasant.

Ill be back there again for christmas and new year as usual.

Apparently so, if you believe the below.

It is easy to check when looking at the seat pattern when booking, which i think you can do before you pay.

Barclay Intercontinental is really nice. Near Grand Central. Much nicer than the Times Square Intercon.

Use the app REVEL instead of Uber for travels, they use mainly Teslas and are half the price of Uber.

Global Entry Visa is quicker that the ESTA to get through the stupidly slow border check at JFK.. oh look a plane with 400 passengers has just arrived, lets go on a fking break or have a chat with our mate in the booth next door.

I've never been through JFK, but Newark last time was super quick with an ESTA. Lunchtime on a Saturday.
