Does anyone know if it's possible to buy these at a discount? Patek are saying the queue for them is huge, yet one sold yesterday on Watch Collecting for 20k. List is 34k. Just doesn't sound right. Anyone know any retailers that will sell with a decent discount or are there really enough dumb people around that will pay 34k for a watch that immediately drops 35%?

you wont get a discount.

think of it like the Macan, or Taycan.... you buy these to get your name closer to the GT3 RS that you really want.

A quick check shows Chrono 24 has an unworn 6007G (2024) for £25k in Germany. Weekend break?

Buy second hand unworn. I saved about £17k this way on a recent PP purchase.

Okay thanks everyone for the info. The Macan/GT3RS is the best analogy for me to understand :-) Sums up the world these days.

Pateks are far more scarce. There were roughly 300,000 Porkers sold last year, of which 50,000 were new 911s. Patek Philippe only produces about 60,000 watches a year over the entire range.

They've upped production to approx 72,000 units across the whole range. It still doesn't help, my enquiry at the local authorised dealer to buy the new Cubitus was met with the standard response 'we might only see 1 or 2 a year'. I was offered a place on the Nautilus waiting list a few years back, the estimate for delivery was 8-10yrs then they had the gaul to cease production of the 5711.

I did notice that the loud Dutch reseller bloke had a SS Cubitus up for sale on his Instagram page for £125k so the flipping has already started. No different to getting a GT3 then rolleyes
