When I set my alarm, I get a double bleep after it has set. A minute later the alarm goes off.
How can I find out which sensor is at fault ?
Also is there any way I can lock the car without switching the alarm on ?
This is a recent fault and was intermittent for a while, so I must assume that I have a loose connection or a sensor on the way out.

Any help appreciated.

I had this once in a Lotus, it turned out to be a flat battery or a battery just about to go flat. Not sure about the Noble though!

Check in the search column on PH, under "Noble" then under "alarms" and they could offer you a few tips in there.

That's strange, my "double" beeps when opened. I take it you've read the manual?

Maybe read the manual and reset the alarm?!

Also check the rear clamshell alarm switch (next to the fuel filler) - clean it with WD40 and depress it a few times to clear the gunk.

Yes I think the two beeps are indicating that a door is open, or in this case, a sensor is at fault making the alarm think a door is open.

Do as AMG suggested, and actuate the door sensors a few times too.

I don't think there is a sensor on the front clam, but if there is then clean that too.

i know exactly what you're talking about. my doors didn't close properly because that steel pin that it closes onto was loose. another thing could be the sensors on the clams, so have a look at that too. the sensor is next to the fuel cap

Thanks guys.
I did suspect the pasenger door switch.
When removed, there is a single wire attached to the switch and nothing else. Does the return get earthed by the retaining screw or does the screw complete the circuit to a second wire hidden within the body work. If the latter, any clues on how I get to it ?

Thanks again

IMHO there should be two contacts (as we all know, the body won't earth - and as you are suspecting too!)- best check the other side.

BTW, I had the same problem and the factory (South Africa) had placed a spacer on one door switch - eventually this failed to close adequately (hence the alarm went off) so I had to have the door reset properly!

Am not from there Mike (but can do a keen Afrikaans accent!) I only meant that one of my door swithes had a spacer fitted from new (probably laziness on SA's part in fitting the door wrongly and not bothering to reset so they just fitted a spacer instead - being keen not to miss the boat I guess!
