Parts of my plastics in the interior have gone sticky and come off in chunks when scratched with your nail.

Is there a product I can use to get down to the base layer?

There are two types one is water based- no good you need the other one, cannot remember think it might have IPA.

Have you tried spectacle cleaner from ALDI? 99p for a box, they have IPA on them and that willl work

No, the IPA will dissolve the adhesive quickly
