I have no idea Im afraid, my head unit will play mp3's but Ive never bother to try. Not sure if you have to make a folder on the disc or just drag n drop them anywhere Try posting a question in here..

YES AVIC X1R WILL PLAY DVD/CD/MP3/WMA

Are you sure? If it's anything like my Alpine, it will play DVDs and MP3 CDs, but not Mp3 DVDs.
