Anyone registered an Ultima in Arizona?

While I recognize registration in AZ is on the lenient side, I wanted to avoid potential mistakes, delays and headaches. For anyone who has successfully registed an Ultima in AZ, can you share how it was registered (regular car vs specialty construction), and whether it needed to be inspected. I purchased the car with a title from another state, but as we know the VIN does not correlate with the correct amount of numbers for a car of this age.

I cannot opine on AZ, but I purchased a built and titled Ultima (NJ title) and titled / registered in NV. The fact that is was previously titled made it a little easier, because all that was required was a VIN inspection, basically checking the VIN of the car matched that of the title. Because I'm in an area that requires smog on anything newer than 1967 I chose to go the 'replica' route for registration and showed some photos of a 60's Ferrari - well it's red!

Have you checked out the Facebook Ultima Owners group, I'm pretty sure there's at least one active member in AZ.
