I suppose that more than one person who has a 2006 Vantage will see that the foam covering the upper part of the wheel arch is exposed.
The black coating evaporated, broke into a thousand pieces, leaving room for the light color where the foam can be seen.
I have the 4 wheel arches, their soundproofing foam is rotten and I don't plan on buying the 4 wheel arches new.

If you want them completely new, prepare a significant amount of money that sounds like changing a clutch.
Guys, any ideas for this?
From covering that foam with some kind of plastic glued on top, to searching on AliExpress, or another type of soundproofing roll.
Any idea will be greatly appreciated.

Isn't it just some closed cell foam in a plastic bag? Maybe a tough plastic but....

It is only foam covered in black plastic and not critical. So either get some sticky-backed plastic or some tough black plastic and make up some new bags. I'm guessing that they were fitted for noise reduction, so they're not crucial.

I wasn't even aware that there was foam on the top of the liners, but I guess it makes sense from a noise perspective.

I zoomed in onto the image in your AstonMartinBits advert and, to me, the insulation on that looks like an automotive fleece-type material - you can see the white inner and the black top layer where it has been die-cut. It's probably AML updated from the foam you say you have to a fleece. I'm not sure if this fleece is to reduce the "stone peck" noise of gravel hitting the liner, or to stop the liner itself rattling or tizzing on the body.

I think you can simply stick new insulation onto your liners. I'd steer away from foam as some can "crumb" if there's any rubbing and it can break up with oils or age. Make sure it's waterproof (and ideally flame retardant) and self adhesive. I'd also avoid some of the underbonnet stuff with the hard aluminium foil, because it might "tap"or rustle against surfaces it touches - you want something soft. It also needs to be suitable for exterior use - some insulation marked for interior use might not be water-resistant and could get waterlogged

I think Aston1936 did a youtube vid showing how he fabricated some replacements .

Thanks guys for the help for next week, I hope to have the wheel arches removed and I will see how they are and see what to do
