Washing machine connector

Help!

Needing to disconnect the washing machine whilst we get some flooring done.

Is the white piece with the 2 lugs where I disconnect the feed pipe? Doesn’t seem to want to turn.

To the right of the black 1/4 turn?
Yes, top towards you as you look at it...

It may not want to turn because it's under stress from the sharp bend in the hose.

It should also unscrew from thd back of the machine.

Make sure you have turned the black valve to the closed poistion too to stop smells coming out of you drain in the mean time.

isn't the black valve on the water supply pipe to the WM and needs turning off before disconnecting the pipe. You don't normally get valves on waste pipes?

Yes that is the cold water feed. Major flood if you don't turn the black valve off before disconnecting;)
