Just spotted a 2017 v12vs going for c. £55k on collecting cars. Quite a nice colour too..
Other 2017 cars are at least c. £20k higher on AT, albeit much lower mileage. (It was c.55k - which I don’t think is unreasonable for a 7 yr old car that has been enjoyed)
Where is the market these days? Has someone just got a fantastic bargain?

Sold for £51,500. A stunning colour combo to my eyes..

And is someone else kicking themselves for selling without a reserve?! £50k and one’s initial thought is ouch.
But the reality is that the market for higher mileage AMs is not a place for the optimistic seller. 7k+ miles a year is nothing, even for an AM, but for the market of those who are looking at AMs, it’s spaceship mileage simply because there are so many low mileage examples to choose from.
I imagine the owner was either skinned alive with the trade in offers, or couldn’t find a trader willing to take it.
Alloro Green is a lovely colour though.

Quite an incredibly low price really.
And the car has been badly presented, probably not the best way to get a good price.
Looking at the pictures, the car is equipped with the Performance Pack which was an extremely expensive option or dealer installed accessory, yet there’s no mention of it in the description.
You can see the black magnesium inlet manifold and the carbon diffuser on the pictures.
So maybe this is a distressed sale, car had to go whatever the price or the UK is in a very bad state right now.
What’s the point of selling such a car at that price? You may as well keep it!
No way in mainland Europe would you be offered that car at such a low price.

Someone has done a cracking deal here.

I agree, thats an absolute bargain. The seats have a bit of wear and tear but thats easily fixed or you could put some light weight seats in.And the car has been badly presented, probably not the best way to get a good price.

No-one has mentioned this was a trade sale in. Newport Pagnell.
Suggests to me this may have been Aston Martin Works selling off a trade-in which they would not have been able to retail (or would cost too much to get to retail standard). As such I assume would not have been touched or prepared in any way by them, just moved on.

Looks like a great spec at a fair price. If you were buying from a main dealer you would expect the mirror arm and door to be resprayed (bubbling) and the seats bolsters sorted. Otherwise you wouldn't tell it had covered > 50k miles.
The Vantage does take the mileage well, I have done 70k and 80k miles in 2 previous Vantage V8 and when I traded them in they didn't need much prep before they were sold out a few weeks later. They still drove the same as when I bought them. As always when you are looking for a used car, its tempting to buy the low mile garage queen but there are some bargains to be had if you can find a well maintained example with "high" mileage (for an Aston).

Its a lovely looking car in a colour that really suits it. While it has done 50+K miles it isn't a huge mileage, the wheels need attention, as do the mirror stalks and the tops of the doors for bubbling. The drivers seat also needs some work and I guess this will tidy up what can be seen. I would want to see the condition of the rear subframe and the side indicators will need refreshing at some point.

From the photos there are a few spots of corrosion / paint that need to be rectified, and at that mileage there’s a risk of needing new discs and pads. Add in the price of a factory warranty and then it becomes a difficult sell.
