You tube slow/ stalling.

Hi techy folk!
We watch quite a lot of you tube vlogs.
Quite often when ads come on the seem to stall out for a few seconds. When it returns to video, the picture can be a bit fuzzy for the first minute or so, then comes clear.
I thought this was because our broadband was very poor.
However we now have fibre at 150 mbps. Which is way better than we used to have.
Situation is definitely much better, but still does the above.
Tv is quite an old Samsung.
Tv is in same room as wireless router.
So is 150 still not enough?
Or is it that the tv is old?
Any advice?

Not sure what causes it, but when I go into the video's settings, I can see that the video quality resolution (set to Auto) has dropped to something ridiculous like 360p or 240p. As you say, it usually resolves itself quite quickly, but the alternative is to force it back up to something more HD using that settings menu.
I suspect that it's the fault of either the app or the TV's processor, rather than broadband speed.
Unsurprisingly, the adverts are always delivered in the highest quality possible!
