Bulk Head Bush

Anyone know which Ford the plastic bulk head bush and rubber comes from. The bush itself has the triangular insert to fit on to the trianglar steering column.

I read the article which was well put together and informative. But the steering column on my car is different it has triangular fitting to the UJ and not circular as mentioned in the piece.

Problem solved I found a bearing that can take the triangular bush and still give me the same result as the piece mentioned on wedgepages....

Incidentally, I copied that mod from Wedgepages too and am glad I did. That (along with a load of other work) really sharpened up the steering

I copied it to, I have the later, triangular Scorpio column. I found the bore of the bearing is a good fit on the triangle and that the grub screws were long enough to lock into it as well. I then silicone filled the holes around the column to stop water ingress.

I also made use of an old steering column gaiters by sliding it over the UJ knuckle and silicone fixing it to the bulkhead, allowing the bottom end to slide on the shaft. See

I'm going to rebuild the steering column today. Just out of interest...did the steering feel any better after the mod?

I found a lot of play in my steering bulkhead bearing today. I have the triangular steering column. Does anyone know which bearing will fit this type of column? GV I see you found one back in 2005. Do you happen to know the bearing number? TIA
