I bought this boxless old kit at the IPMS Holland annual show last week. It is a 1:48 Red Arrows Hawk, according the seller the kit used to be handed out by the team pilots to designated air show visitors after shows.

Intrigued by the story I have tried to retrieve the origins and details of the kit. It is not from Airfix, Italeri, HobbyBoss or other mainstream suppliers. I have found one link to scalemates that provided the name IMC Modelworks, a Dutch company that was specialised in aluminium and diecast airliners display models for professional use such as windtunnel tests, exhibition displays, travel agency shop windows: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/imc-modelworks-imc...

The accompanying paper mentiones Sqn. Ldr. J. Blackwell and Sgt. R.G. Lee for crew lettering, which probably dates the kit to 1985 or so?

Does anybody recognise the kit? Have people heard about the story? From the ejector marks I gather the parts are injection moulded, they feel rather heavy and have a nice shine. So no PS?
