Hi
My wife and I have a decent amount of money in Fidelity S&S ISAs, invested in tech heavy equity funds which have done very nicely over the last few weeks/months/years. In a few months time I’m likely to need a substantial sum to pay for home improvements, and I feel now would be a good time to cash out of these tech funds, but I’d like to keep the money within the ISA wrapper for the time being, as if I take it out of the ISA, and the home improvement plan falls through, it would take many years to get it back into the ISA.
I know it’s possible to hold cash in the S&S ISA account, but are there any alternative low risk short term options to at least guard against inflationary loss over a 3 to 6 month window?
Cheers
Chris
