Can't find the link folks, sorry but can anyone direct me.

I am going to extend the k + N's to the front of the engine rather than over the manifold. But I need the tubing that will take them to the bracket behind the rad, to the throttle body.

I know they are from a scorpio, but I read somewhere recently, a link to a company that sells lengths of them.

Ta folks.
Mike.......(who's clutch is now behaving itself )

Sorry to go off thread but what was the cause of the clutch problem in the end?

Yeah Mike what was the problem with your clutch, ooh please tell. I have got to sort mine out as it bites at the bottom of the pedal travel, I suspect it is the slave cylinder, only recently I sorted out my master cylinder so fingers Xd.

Well.......it's a bit odd, but it has improved of it's own accord however, I suspect the slave needs to be changed.
I can get all forward gears, and reverse if I gently persuade it. Sometimes it pops into reverse with no problems.

However, top tip from psychobert.....Apparently S3's were notoriously difficult to get into 1st and reverse, so, a fix is to put it info 4th first, and slightly raise the clutch pedal just prior to biting point, it should then to into first with no problem.

Bonkers, but it worked for me. Reverse still isn't too clever, but I can live with it for the time being.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the run out, brought back a few memories !
Saw from your thread you are considering running pipes with the Filters on forward toward the radiator.
I was told before I fitted my Induction kit on that its better to keep the pipes (as you are now)as short as possible and take the "cold" air to the filters, ie run the fresh air "induction" pipes from the front to where your filters are now.
The apparent reason for this is that turbulence can be created within the longer pipes between the filter and engine causing rough running and also the pipes will warm up which is of course defeating the whole object.
I know Halfords supply concertina aluminium tubing up to about 60mm and this is easy to fix and secure.
Cheers
John

Cheers John, glad you liked it.

I think your first plan was a good one, to re-route the existing pipe and offer it up to the filters, I'll have a word with numbnuts and see what ingenious plan we hatch....It makes sense what you are saying though, but weren't the original filters for'ard of the tubes nearest to the radiator?

Best option is to drill two holes in the bonnet and poke the little buggers out into the atmosphere.

It's on the cards Pies, it's our winter plan.
Plus numbnuts has a pipebender, so a custom manifold in stainless steel too. That should offset the cherrybombs nicely.

True what you say Mike but your arrangement doesn't have the air metering devices fitted and these would I guess have compensated for the longer tubes by balancing the air mix. It's often a bit of a black art in my mind and often trial and error is often the only way to test it.

Good point John, I wonder what the initial set up looked like, it would be nice to see it just to see what I have to re create.
