Grande Punto Abarth in.

Didnt want to keep paying the Brera's running costs and didnt gel with it anyway.

Punto specifically for occasional commuting and pottering about - so far very happy with the reduced visits to the filling station and the lower RFL. It looks like a bit of a hooligan and i dont partcularly like all the scorpion cosmetics but otherwise it seems OK

Now left with:
Punto
916 V6
Coupe 20VT
Giulietta C/leaf (still waiting for the BCM to materialise)

Congrats!
Always loved the Abarth Punto, especially the driving position which can be normal and not "italian".
Did you get the full-leather spec, clad IP etc..?

no leather in this one - it has the ridiculously over-sculpted black and red alcantara seats. It's taken me a week to learn how to arrange my backside so that it doesn't overflow the rear of the squab mouldings.

had a proper look over it now ( i know but i took the history and descriptions at face value). A relatively new subframe, some front suspension work recently from the looks of it. Receipts for belts and other stuff in the file, gearbox bearing has been dealt with and a recent gear oil change. On eibach springs which seem fresh and don't seem to have compromised the ride at all - shocks seem to be able to control them well enough but i may revert to standard springing at some point. Stainless exhaust in the style of the original but with slightly larger tailpipes - burbly on the overrun but no pops/bangs.

i've refreshed the brakes and changed the rear wheel bearings which were slightly grumbly. New handbrake cables as the old ones were well past their best. tI has some work outstanding but of the inconvenient type rather than significantly problematic stuff.

Next job - passenger seat tit/slide cable (unlike alfas of the era, the punto covers unzip so hoping this could be a quick fix)
