Yo.

Went to look at another 964 C4 today.

Was there an option to lower the car at point of sale like an RS? Also was it a factory option to have RS front spoiler?

The car was RS lowered to counteract understeer..it handle amazingly and better than my boxster s.

Car had had new 993 clutch and flywheel, tyres and brakes. Also had new oil change and filter.

13 stamps of service history but later ones with a porsche specialist in manchester? 0161 483 1358?

Interior ok

Exterior was ok although there was a dent (no paint loss) to the edge of the wheel arch..can this be removed anyone reckon?

Some rust had formed under and around one of the front headlamp holders..i assume you can get replacements? Not much rust in other usual places.

3 owners...90k miles.

Went out for spin and night tight drive.

However got back and noticed that oil was in the engine bay on the right hand side...seemed to be dripping down from the new oil filter? Does this seem right. The oil level showed that the car was quite full of oil up to 4/5 on the reading. Is there anywhere else it could be coming from to be found on that side of the engine bay?

Little things were there...lights lits up and electrics worked ok.

Receipts of history were still with previous owner!

Anyway.....what u think? Price between 14-15.5k?

Was it there before you took the went out for a spin?

The oil filler is in a pretty awkward position, so it's not unusual to have a little spillage the the right hand side of the engine bay....

lowered 964? looks the bomb, no?

If it hasnt already been recommended, you find rennlist forums an invaluable resource for general 964 questions - http://forums.rennlist.com/

1. You can get the Porsche factory to do most things at point of purchase if you have the money... however, likely to be aftermarket mods. Lowering standard 964s is common as standard settings are horse and cart at the front especially. The RS splitter.... hmm, even RSs didn't have them as standard! People put them on, but doubt it's original. But so what?

2. Yes, wheelarch dents are normally easy enough to sort as you can get behind them.

3. The trim rings around the headlights are just inserts and are cheap enough to replace.

4. If underneath car on right it could be the oil lines leaking from the dry sump tank, they often leak. If in engine bay not likely to be barrels as they drip below the car... could be from filter. Probably not a big problem.

5. I'd say 11.5-13k LHD, 13k-15k RHD at a guess.

Ai it looks pretty ace matey. Needs a major service next year though.

As for oil leak i'll see what he says..told him to sort it out! Had new oil filter etc and thats where the leaks seemed to be coming from.

No leaks under car though...

Seems nice..drives so tight its untrue!
