Problem with Eagle F1 Assymetrics?

I have had my 987.2 Cayman 2.9 for just over a year and it came with these Goodyears fitted. In the last 6 months I have had large bulges appear in the sidewalls of one front and one rear tyre. In 50 years I have never previously had such a tyre problem.

Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just a symptom of the terrible state of our roads?

I’ve run F1s on various cars for donkeys’ years and not had a sidewall failure that I can remember.

I’ve destroyed three or four in impacts with potholes, rocks etc., but those hits have all been sufficiently hard to trash the rims as well.

I am a 992 Owner and had the problem once - caused by a pothole. Maybe Goodyears are more susceptable to such shock loading?
