Saw the 1st 2 episodes on D+.
Although current SW output is very hit and miss, this was fun I thought.

It is very much for kids and the characters are your typical tropes, but it's got a Goonies/Stranger Things vibes going on with it.

Also even though Jude Law's a wasteman, interesting to see how his character plays out as well.

Not to be taken seriously and just enjoy it for what it is.

It's OK, could be good. So far the kids are just being annoying and doing stupid st, with the best character being a droid.

Clearly aimed at the younger audience but still thought it was ok, will stick with it

I'm in my 60s and just stumbled upon this during yet another fruitless search to find something worth watching on countless TV channels.

I like it biggrin

Anyone notice how the actions right at the beginning of episode mirror when the Princess' ship was boarded in the original film.

Even down to the defenders actions and looking up as they hear the sounds of the attacking ship smile

No I didn't notice, but sounds like a clever homage.

In other news, I've read that the Mandalorian film has finished filming.

I didn’t like the first episode but the second got going. As has been said before, it’s an eighties kids film in the Star Wars universe.

Still average, with the annoying kids instantly expert spaceship pilots and crew. No time spent getting to know or like anyone. Maybe kids like it.

In other news, Disney are apparently going to remake the Rise of Skywalker. Confirmation that it is terrible. Maybe they'll make it even worse.

“Remake” as in “publish as a 5 part comic” I believe. They’re not filming it again etc - just making it into comics so they can add more detail to try to justify the bizarre plot devices.

Caught this the other day as it was on the Apple TV front screen.

Must admit I quite liked it.

Might just be me but strong Goonies vibes to it.

Thanks, there was lots about all the new planned projects and I didn't read it all.
