Lots of them. Protests at head office in the past.

No idea if this happens to other providers but given the appalling practices of US health insurers, I'm surprised it's taken this long for something like this to happen

Hired professional? This I doubt given that he does it all on CCTV and shows half his face on the camera and then rides off on a push bike.

If that was a friend/ close neighbour/ work colleague, then I would recognise them.

I've only recently watched scarface for the first time, but this made me think of this. Where Tony failed in Scarface, this person 'didn't'. Whatever the motive/reason behind it, nobody deserves to be killed.

Some conflicting reports about the type of gun used and whether it was jamming / whether the shell cases were being collected which would change that theory.

One noticeable thing was how casual the shooter was.

Given they are one of the largest companies in the world by revenue, is 22b profit out of 378b revenue really all that egregious or unusual?

It’s egregious if you are dying and your insurance provider says no to giving you cover which you feel you have paid for and deserve. It’s also egregious to those who can’t afford cover.

2m Americans a year are bankrupted by medical debt with 100m paying off medical debt! I'm a pretty full on capitalist but I think you have to draw the line at healthcare. The US model of medicine for profit just has so many middlemen in between patient and care it's incredibly expensive and inefficient... what value exactly does a for profit insurance company in the middle add?
