OH wanting something bigger than her current BMW 2 Series

My OH has a 2019 BMW Series 2 3 door, she's wanting something bigger with 5 doors and more comfortable. Basically something where if I'm away she can stick the dog in the back (no kids) and head off somewhere. Something big enough for a few small cases, roomy in the back, not too powerful and likely something sitting higher off the ground than the 2 Series.

I said to her maybe consider a Mini Countryman, nice size, roomy and sitting higher off the ground (although I didnt realise how bloody expensive they are).

Any other suggestions?
p.s she will not entertain VW cars for some reason???

What is the budget and preferences regarding the age of the car?

Probably something up to around £35k and either new, pre reg or very very low miles and less than a year old I would say.
