CC Charger S7 Exhaust Control for Vanquis S
Discussion
Not an "S", but I fitted one to my 2016 Vanquish Volante.
I was hoping to be able to set the valves closed for start-up, but that's not possible. Otherwise it's epic. I especially like having valves open all the way through the rev range, instead of the sudden switch from closed to open based on rpm.

Hi, I’ve recently fitted a CC Charger module to my 2014 Vanquish. It’s a very easy install once the rear alloy is off and the arch liner moved. The Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The end result is even better, as you get to hear the exhaust with the valves open sub 2750rpm, plus the module remembers which mode you’ve selected post the car being turned on and off.

From Clive at CCCharger when I enquired...
"Quiet mode does not hold the valves closed, I do not make any modules that hold the valves closed as compromising breathing can cause issues.
It returns the valve operation back to the control of the ECU as Aston designed it.
The start up rev blip on the Vanquish is not welcomed by all (I don't like it as it blips a cold engine before oil pressure has risen) sadly there is not really a tec workaround for negating it that I know of."

I would be most interested to hear a discussion, by expert mechanical engineers on that point.
When the valves are closed, the exiting exhaust gssses flow through the silencer, then out of the tailpipes.
I am intrigued what issues can be caused, by having a silencer as an integral part of the exhaust system.
That arrangement just seems so common, with every car on the roads.
I have a quiet mode on my DB9 with Vanquish S rear box and decatted centre pipes, It's main use is to keep the car quieter when starting and at low revs when the stock auto mode opens the valves but certainly doesn't need the extra breathing.
Its a 3 way switch that I installed to control the valves more directly - permanently closed, permanently open or the stock auto
I've very rarely if ever used quiet mode at high revs.
The Vanquish has a different control system but I'm sure something similar could be designed for that too.
